Bobbi Block (Producing Artistic Director and Founder) performs with Barrymore Award Recipient ComedySportz, where she was co-producer and education director for fifteen years and artistic director for two. In addition, Bobbi performed longform improv with LunchLady Doris for twelve years and with the interdisciplinary improv group Playback Philadelphia for four years. For the 2007 Philly Live Arts Festival, she conceived and directed LEAP: The Actors’ Improv Experiment, in which she trained veteran, award-winning scripted actors in the art of improv. Bobbi is the recipient of the 2008 City Paper Award “Actress Who will Lead Improv to the Promised Land.”
Bobbi studied with master improvisers at renowned theatre centers such as The Second City, ImprovOlympic, the Annoyance Theatre, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and the New Actors Workshop. Bobbi has a master’s degree in theatre, teaches Improvisation at Temple University and Drexel University, and has taught improv at The University of the Arts, University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, Bucks County Community College, the Wilma Theater, the Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, ComedySportz, Philly Improv Theater (PHIT), and in private classes.
Bobbi has taught improvisational theater internationally, including Brazil, Holland, Belgium, Germany, and, most recently, New Zealand. She has taught T&G's signature format, SECRETS, which is being performed by theater companies in Rio de Janeiro, Amsterdam, and Wellington, NZ.

megan bellwoar

Megan Bellwoar is an actress, director, educator and long-time member of the Philadelphia theatre community. Credits include Arden Theatre Company, Lantern Theatre Company, Walnut Street Theatre, Inis Nua, People’s Light & Theatre, PA Shakespeare Festival, Delaware Theatre Company and 1812 Productions. Her work in Lantern’s BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE was recently cited as one of 2013’s best performances by the Philadelphia Weekly. She was a 6-year member of Comedy Sportz-Philadelphia. Megan teaches and directs at Abington Friends School.

Beth Dougherty has been doing improv on and off since childhood, and performed with former Philadelphia groups Polywumpus and 13 Skirts. By day she is a nonprofit lawyer, and at night she hangs out with her husband and son. She doesn’t get out much anymore, and is always looking for babysitters.

Tanesha Ford is an Actress, Writer, Producer, Marketer and all around feisty gal.   She is the Marketing & Communications and Membership Development Manager at First Person Arts.  Tanesha is proud to be in the improv world with Tongue & Groove and hopes to be that dash of pepper in this already flavorful company.

Josh Holober-Ward Tongue & Groove Improv

Josh Holober-Ward has been in love with theatre since he was allowed to wear a dog suit on stage at the age of 6. He graduated from UMBC in 2012 with a BFA in Acting, and has been a member of ComedySportz Philadelphia since 2015. He teaches at the Philadelphia School of Improv, and is the creator of Roll Play, which combines fantasy storytelling games with interactive improv comedy.  Having been a Tongue & Groove superfan, he was beyond excited to join this incredible ensemble.

Mikey is a graphic designer by day but his true passion lies within the realm of theater. He studied Actor’s Improv with Bobbi Block as well as with ComedySportz before joining as a Groover.

Ed Miller is thrilled to be a part of Tongue and Groove! Ed is an actor, director, and writer from the Philadelphia area. He has worked with the Arden Theatre, Theatre Exile, Swim Pony, The IRC, and Secret Room Theatre. Ed spent 3 years living and teaching in South Korea where he also made time to act, direct, and serve on the board of Seoul Players. He was a founding member of SCI: Seoul City Improv and graced the TV screens for young "English-hungry" Koreans on such programs as "Story Time", "T-Girl!", and "Cooking with Red Hood".Thanks to Bobbi and all the fellow "groovers" for their support

Carol Moog, PhD (musician) is the clinical director of the Social Learning Disorders Program at the University of PA and the psychologist at The Miquon School. In her private practice, she works with children and adults, particularly people with social anxiety disorders and Aspergers using a wide range of creative approaches based in her training and experience as a theater improvisor/actor (,, professional harmonica player (, Tattar, Tucker and Moog) and communications/advertising consultant (Creative Focus). She is thrilled and proud to be a member of Tongue and Groove. In her free time, she tries to catch her breath.

Seth Reichgott Tongue & Groove Improv

Seth Reichgott is a Philadelphia-based actor, director, and writer, Seth has acted with the Wilma Theater, Interact, Lantern Theatre, Cape May Stage, the Arden Theatre, and Mum Puppettheatre, among many others. He has directed for Interact, Act II Playhouse, Cape May Stage, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, and the National Theatre of the Performing Arts. Seth has twice been a co-recipient of the Barrymore Award for Outstanding Ensemble, and was nominated for a 2010 Helen Hayes award for Outstanding Actor. Each year Seth tours his solo Greek mythology show, Chariot of the Sun, to elementary and middle schools across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. Fred Siegel is an 11 year veteran of Comedysportz Philly, a magician (, a memoirist, and a teacher/administrator at Drexel University. He has appeared in seven Philly Fringe Festivals, most recently with his one-man show “Man of Mystery.” He also has one-eighth of a Barrymore Award for Best Ensemble in Karen Getz’s Suburban Love Songs, (1812 Productions, 2008).

Joy Weir is a recent graduate of Drexel University's Entertainment and Arts Management program. She is the executive producer of the web series, Unfiltered when she's not "yes, and-ing, she teaches theatre in the surrounding Philadelphia community and takes on as many management projects as she can juggle.

Cecelia won two Greater Philadelphia Cappie Awards. She was the leader of Millersville University’s improv group, Improv Molotov. After graduating with a BA in Psychology with a minor in Criminology, Cecelia delved deeper into advanced long form in more relationship focused Actor’s Improv. She performs with ComedySportz Philadelphia and teaches advanced longform improv at Lights, Camera, Acting!
